“Gege?” Qian asked, standing up.
“Uhm, Yaya. I’m in Seoul. I have a meeting now but I can meet you at dinner. OK? I have to tell you something.” the other person asked.
“Yes, gege.” She smiled and hung up.
Chen Yi Ru – famous photograph and also heir of a company in Taiwan. He was Qian’s ‘gege’, her crush, The two of them met in his last year of high school and became really good friends, as Qian helped him catch up with Chinese. Qian have had a one-sided love since he graduated, but they didn’t see each other anymore since one day when Yi Ru came at Beijing Dance Academy to take photos of dancers there. Qian’s parents also liked Yi Ru very much and they got along really well. A month before Qian was supposed to travel Seoul, Yi Ru had to go overseas but promised her he will come.
“Kya~” Qian smiled and lent onto the pillow. “Haejeun~” she yelled standing up and going to tell her best friend the news.
Qian went to her ‘boss’ – Soohyuk – and tried to be nice but as soon she entered in the living room and saw lots of notes on the floor she got crazy.
“I’m here!” she yelled, announcing her arrival.
Soohyuk was sleeping when he heard her voice. He stretched his arms and let out a yawn. He rubbed his eyes and looked at his phone screen.
“Is she crazy?” he asked as he saw it was only 8 o’clock. He stood up and grabbed the mirror to check if his hair was okay.
“Ah, this boy! I’m his maid or what?” Qian asked as she was picking up all those notes. She was curious – curious enough to read what was written there.
\I crazily try to erase you from my heart but there's no point
No matter how much I think about it, to me, it's only you
You're the One One Can't get you out of my mind
I can't forget you, who I can't even call out so I'm just crying/
“Why are you here?” asked Soohyuk, leaning on the staircase.
“Are you going crazy?” she asked.
“This…” she showed him the notes.
“Ah, that. When I’m alone I listen to music and write down the lyrics.” He said, going back upstairs.
“So… last night was… Omo!” she knelt on the floor. “Qian you’re stupid!” she said in Chinese.
She cleaned the living room and cooked a breakfast – milk and cereals. She was embarrassed, but still had one reason to smile.
“Why are you smiling, stalker?” Soohyuk asked her.
“None of your business.” She replied.
“But…” he started. “What is that?” he asked pointed to the suitcase on the sofa.
“Are you moving in? I will kill my hyeong if he said that to you!” he said, grabbing his handphone.
“Don’t worry. I’m not moving in. I have an appointment tonight and I have to change my clothes. Now, I have rehearsals for the show and then I’m going straight there. I don’t have time to go home and change my clothes.” She explained.
“I didn’t ask you to explain. By the way,” he said, finishing his breakfast. “You let the dress here.”
“What dress… Ah, I will take it home. Listen, don’t you have to go somewhere right now?”
“No. I will stay home today.” He said.
“Okay. Call your manager. I have to go.”
“If you go like this you’re fired. You have to beg me, you stalker!”
“Please, Model-nim, let me go.” She said and didn’t wait for a reply.
The rehearsals for the show went okay and it was fun being there. Ha Seon and Sa Rang kept explaining basic things and some tricks models do, giving advices and teaching them how to walk on really high heels. Qian was listening and doing what she was asked to do, but her mind was somewhere else. She was happy Yi Ru came to Seoul.

Soohyuk was too bored to stay home so he went to the company. He saw Qian leaving the company and was about to wave to her but she just walked away. His jaw dropped. In that moment, Ha Seon was also leaving and Soohyuk grabbed her elbow.
“Nuna, can you see me?” he asked.
“Soohyuk, are you okay? Do you have fever?” she asked, touching his forehead. “Yes, President.” She answered the phone and left, waving at Soohyuk. He put on his sunglasses and left to find Qian. Luckily, she stopped close to the company to take a taxi.
“At the Chinese restaurant in Gangnam.” She spoke before getting in. She got in the taxi and left.
“Restaurant? Gangnam? Chinese? Appointment? A guy…” he concluded. He also got in a taxi and followed Qian.
Qian entered happily inside and looked around to see Yi Ru. A waitress came to her and asked if she had made a reservation. The waitress then remembered what she was told by a Chinese guy.
“Ah, please come here.” She said, showing Qian the way to her table. She bowed and left the two alone.
“Gege!” Qian smiled.
“Yaya! Please sit.” He said. “I already asked for a royal Chinese menu, is that okay?”
“Yes.” She replied and they start talking about different things waiting for the dinner to arrive.
Soohyuk also came at the same restaurant. He went towards the entrance but felt something wasn’t right. It was too cold. He wanted to put his hands in the pockets, but realized he had no jacket. He looked back, but the taxi was gone. He entered in the restaurant and asked for a ugly-chinese girl. The waitress looked at him.
“I mean is here an ugly girl? She is Chinese.” He said.
“Oh, a Chinese girl just came here few moments ago. Are you okay, customer-nim? You look like freezing.”
“I’m fine. Where is she?” he asked. The waitress showed him the way and he sat at a table behind Qian, so she couldn’t see him.
“So, gege, what…?” she started.
“What I wanted to say?” he asked. “I will tell you. I’m staying here in Seoul until new year’s eve.”

That was not exactly what Yi Ru wanted to say to Qian. He stated ‘I will tell her later’. He smiled and told her to eat more.
“Really? So that means you know Korean.” She said.
“Yes.” He replied in Korean. “A little.”
Soohyuk was listening but he didn’t understand the Chinese. He knew some Chinese but in conversations he would lose himself. He thought of a reason why he was pissed off by Qian’s appointment but couldn’t find anything. He knew just that it bothered him a lot that she was happy talking to that ‘smiley face’.
“Gege, let’s take a photo together.” She said.
“Good idea. I have the camera with me.” He said and took out of his bag his professional camera.
The way Qian was treating that smiley face and the way she was treating Soohyuk were different. He felt a bit sad about that, but realized Qian was just a stylist who was going to leave soon anyway. Soohyuk found the right moment to see if the guy was worth when Qian went to the bathroom. He looked straight at Yi Ru without even blinking until Yi Ru saw him and bowed. Soohyuk coughed and looked at his soup – which was just brought by the waitress – and he burnt himself. Soohyuk covered his face with the menu as Qian came back.
“Sorry, gege. I almost lost my ring that’s why it lasted so much.”
In front of Soohyuk, if she ever was sorry for being late she wouldn’t apologize like that.
“Oh it’s okay, Yaya.” He said. After paying, they got up to leave. Soohyuk also paid and left, following them.
It was dark and for Qian it meant colder. Soohyuk who was just behind them, was freezing like a snowman. Qian coughed for few times and tried to pull her jacket closer to her neck, but it didn’t work. Yi Ru removed his scarf and gave it to her. That moment, Soohyuk felt awful on the inside. Why was that person giving his scarf to Qian? Why was Qian smiling when she was with that person? He lit a cigarette thinking it may help him to feel warmer but it didn’t. Following them, they got at Haejeun’s house. Qian and Yi Ru both stopped in front of the gate. She turned to face him. Soohyuk who was still freezing stopped behind a tree from where he could see the scene. Yi Ru mussed Qian’s bangs, telling her they should talk more often. While saying good bye, Yi Ru suddenly hugged Qian.
“I missed you, Yaya!” he said.
Soohyuk saw that and saw the shock on Qian face also her happiness as she hugged him too. His cigarette fell on the ground as he looked at them. He just watched the scene from afar. He turned around to leave, but he looked at them one more time and then left. Qian didn’t know she hurt him.
